According to Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the increasing pressure on the climate system has led to widespread impacts on human and natural systems. As new knowledge is gained by the scientific community on several important debatable issues viz., climate change, urbanization, glacier melt/dynamics, water budget, river hydrology, etc. various schools of thoughts have emerged which continue sparring over with each other about the genesis, effects and cause of these issues. In order to reach on a conclusion, research in these fields which concerns the only known habitat of the humankind has imperatively become important. The first step towards a sustainable future in regards to improved development in a healthy environment while safeguarding cultural heritage is to understand the system and the problems associated. Thus in this laboratory, we are making a small effort to understand the climate system, associated non-linearity and mechanism.
